A complete of 529 flights sporting 45,646 passengers operated on Saturday, stated Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Sunday.
Home services and products had been suspended in India because of the coronavirus-induced lockdown and resumed after an opening of 2 months on Monday.
Indian carriers operated a complete of two,340 flights until Friday — 428 on Monday, 445 on Tuesday, 460 on Wednesday, 494 on Thursday and 513 on Friday.
Mr Puri stated on Twitter on Sunday: “Home operations on 30th Might 2020 (Day 6) until 2359 hrs. Departures 529. 45,646 passengers treated. Arrivals 530. 45,622 passengers treated.”
A departure is counted as a flight all over the day.
Right through the pre-lockdown duration, Indian airports treated round three,000 day by day home flights, aviation trade resources stated.
In February, when the lockdown was once now not imposed, round four.12 lakh passengers travelled day by day via home flights in India, in step with Directorate Common of Civil Aviation (DGCA) information.
