Surat BJP vice-president P V S Sarma, who was once arrested in a dishonest case, was once remanded in 14-day judicial custody at Surat Central prison on Monday.
The Surat Police had on Saturday arrested Sarma for allegedly faking the flow figures of his newspaper to assert ads from govt businesses and personal corporations.
Dr Ok D Mammaya, Deputy Director (investigations wing), Surat Source of revenue Tax division, had lodged a grievance of forgery and dishonest beneath more than a few IPC sections towards Sarma and his spouse Sitaram Adukiya on the Umra police station on November 14.
Performing at the grievance, Umra police had arrested Sitaram Adukiya and Mukhtar Baig, the executive of Sanket Media Pvt Ltd, which is owned by way of Sarma.
